Well, we’ve made it back in one piece. It was pretty touch and go for a while, but overall it was a terrific trip. Baltimore is a great city and the con was awesome, as well.

I don’t have much to compare it to. This was the first Con for both Barry and myself. It seemed to go pretty well and we were able to meet some cool people, some of them in costume. All of the creators I met were super nice and I got a ton of books signed.

I also took some pictures. Check it.

I do want to direct you guys over to Duck and Cover Studios. We met Marty at the light rail station Saturday morning and also visited their booth on Sunday. There’s some really good stuff on the website and I encourage everyone to support independent artists and, at least, check it out.

Barry and I also had a chance to take in a few of the sites and enjoy some fish down at the Inner Harbor. We did get on the wrong bus, at one point, and take a two-hour “tour” of Baltimore’s ghetto, so that was cool. It did rain pretty hard on Friday and Saturday, so that kind of put a damper on our enjoyment. We did watch the Presidential Debates at a bar in the Mount Vernon area, whilst drinking spirits. And we had a pretty fun time at the Walters Art Museum, which was just a treat.

Overall, lots of walking and exercise. Each night as we collapsed in our hotel rooms, I was reasonably sure that I was going to die. It may sound really, really sad, but I haven’t gotten that much exercise in a long time and my body was pissed off at me for it. It was like, “Chris, you haven’t gotten off your butt in a year. And now you expect me to walk?!? Are you crazy?!”

I did survive, though. And the trip was a great experience. I can’t wait to do it again.
